Everyone can get involved with the Engaged Pluralism Initiative: students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Welcome!
EPI hosts World Café events throughout the academic year, where students and employees gather to share ideas, learn about and contribute to project proposals, and build community. Check out past events on our timeline as well as through our newsletters.
Anyone can submit a proposal to EPI Thrive! for funding toward a campus-wide event that contributes to our goals of fostering sustainable change in pursuit of greater belonging, equity, and connecting across and through social differences in the Vassar community.
Igniter pitches: If you have a great idea that aims to foster belonging or which promotes a stronger sense of social and human connections, we'd love to support you! We will work to gather a community around your ideas, and work with you to develop your concept from idea to execution! Pitches that center historically marginalized groups are especially encouraged. To get the ball rolling, email us at EPI@vassar.edu, so we can talk through how to prepare a community pitch at the next World Cafe!
Or inquire about participating in an EPI working group—we are currently accepting applications for 2020-2021 working group members and soliciting other forms of collaboration and contribution. For information, email EPI@vassar.edu.
Students: Look for EPI-related courses on community-focused action research! Or inquire about other ways to receive academic credit for working on this initiative.
